You can use this bar to search for keywords in the title of an email, the body or the sender’s address. The search bar is located in the upper right corner - when you are viewing the Mail tab, that is above the e-mails in your current folder. While you can manually go through your folders, there’s a much easier way to quickly find what you're looking for - all you have to do is use the search feature. To change the time of the backup, open up the Windows “Task Scheduler” tool. You can choose the folder where the backups will be saved and once you check the ‘Enable Backup’ option, you can also select how often you’d like the back up to occur and how many backups you want to keep (you can store up to five different backups at a time). The backup options are accessible in Menu > Settings > General > Backup. HOW CAN I CHANGE THE BACKUP INTERVAL? The easiest way of moving your database to another device is to make a backup of your current database in Menu > Backup. Please note that eM Client must stay turned off during this process. If you’d like to transfer your data, please first change the location in the settings, turn eM Client off and then manually move the database folder from the original location into the new one. Instead a new database will be created there. However, as the disclaimer in the settings warns: when you change the location, your original database will not be transferred.
To change it, please navigate to Menu > Settings > General > Storage where you can adjust the database folder location. The default database location is in the eM Client folder under your user profile in hidden folders AppData\Roaming (the path is usually C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\eM Client).

Just don’t forget that you can also use the ‘Download messages for offline use’ function that downloads the content of selected IMAP folders or of the the whole account into the application’s local database. You can also move messages there so you can access them while offline. For example, you can move or copy your emails there to make space on the server or to secure them in the event of a server failure.
There are various reasons for why you might want to store emails in Local Folders. Local Folders are folders that eM Client doesn’t synchronize with the server, meaning their content is stored locally in the application’s database.
